Leprechaun 3 is the Best Gambling Horror Movie

When it comes to horror entertainment, gambling isn’t an aspect one would usually imagine to see amongst all the weird stuff we come across in the fucked up world of horror movies, although there have been some really good horror movies that featured gambling in some way or another and managed to make it work just fine.

The added thrill of gambling doubles the excitement of the viewer, making them feel a mix of two different yet both thrilling emotions, feeling both fearful and euphoric at the same time. One can try out the thrilling casino experience whenever they like nowadays thanks to online casino platforms like Unibet and many more.

Even though they are not so common on the platforms we use daily like Netflix, there has still been a decent number of gambling related horror movies, although, in my personal opinion there is one movie which beats all the other gambling related horror movies on the market;

Leprechaun 3
Since the 90’s, Leprechaun has been one of the most well known horror movie franchises of it’s time. With a total of 8 films featuring the infamous Leprechaun, a bloodthirsty Irish spirit on his search for his pot of gold across the US. Particularly Leprechaun 3, which is set in Las Vegas, is one of the best films of the series. Here’s why;

Davis, the evil Leprechaun jumps on Gupta, a Vegas shop owner’s back and bites his ear off just after being pawned to him, while calling him a thief and that he reeks of greed. Then he starts beating Gupta’s legs with his own cane until he sees that he’s wearing a nice pair of leather shoes. He then takes one off and says that he appreciates a good pair of shoes. He then looks down on Gupta’s shoeless foot and notices a hole in his sock revealing his big toe. The leprechaun then clutches Gupta’s foot and exclaims, “Ah! Don’t mind if I do!”, and then he bites his toe clean off.

After a medallion is revealed on Gupta’s chest, the Leprechaun is terrified and storms into the basement, where he is followed by Gupta until a statue of Cupid shoots an arrow at his arm. He then tries to run back upstairs to call for help but the leprechaun strangles him to death using the phone cord. The dead body is later found by a college student named Scott, who steals the Leprechaun’s coin and is granted a wish.

After winning big at the casino, Scott gets mugged by employees and then attacked by the Leprechaun. He manages to throw the Leprechaun out the window but still gets bitten in the process. In the meantime the casino crew had started sharing the coin around making their wishes. Later on Leprechaun obviously survives the fall and kills all the wishers off one by one.

This was one of the greatest horror movies of all time, and one can easily see why. The thrilling suspenseful horror plot matched with the colourful Las Vegas Strip theme was a match meant to be, and we will definitely be seeing more of it in the future.
