Nonetheless, Hunted was one of the most anticipated horror movies in January, considering that it's an interesting adaptation of the famous "Little Red Riding Hood" story.

Although Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm brought us a kid-friendly version of this 17th-century fairytale by Charles Perrault, Haunted draws inspiration from the story's original version. The movie tells Eve's story, as two men pursue her in a wolves infested forest while facing misogynistic horrors.

Psycho Goreman – 22nd January 2021
Shudder's second release after "Hunted," "Psycho Goreman," is another highly anticipated movie created by Steven Kostanski. Steven is also known for his special effects in films like "Suicide Squad', "IT: Chapter One," and "Silent Hill: Revelation."

Psycho Goreman perfectly combines gross-out horror, family adventure, and acerbic black comedy, creating a unique film. The film embodies some cleverly designed visual effects, offering some inventive, gory scenes. This movie tells Mimi's story, a young lady who enjoys causing chaos while she's not busy bullying her timid brother.

Unfortunately, she accidentally manages to resurrect an evil overlord while digging in their garden, and she starts to use him to fulfill her different whims using a magic amulet. However, a group of intergalactic crusaders from a distant galaxy gather in an attempt to stop the overlord's plan to destroy the universe.

The Night – 29th January 2021
An Iranian couple stops at a hotel for lodging and gets inexplicably stuck in its walls. That's the story "The Night" is centered on, and you get to watch them face their biggest fears, including issues they have encountered in their relationship. The movie will be premiering on VOD at the end of the month, featuring a similar story to Stanley Kubrick's adaptation of "The Shining," which also tells the story of a couple terrified by the horrors of a local hotel.
