The footage looks grim as anything, really oppressive atmosphere that makes you feel trapped just watching it. Not one for people who get squeamish, but if you loved the other films, this looks like it'll be even more terrifying.
SOULM8TE: Lovebot Gone Rogue
This one's spinning off from M3GAN, but instead of creepy kids, we're getting creepy romance. Some bloke who's grieving builds himself an AI girlfriend to help cope, which obviously goes horribly wrong. His creation gets obsessed, and the whole thing becomes this nightmare about love and control when technology gets too involved.
Just the idea of it makes your skin crawl. They're mixing sci-fi with psychological horror in a way that'll probably put you off your phone for ages. Perfect if you like those stories where technology goes completely wrong.
Send Help: Raimi's Island Nightmare
Sam Raimi's doing something different with Send Help. Two work colleagues crash on a desert island and have to survive, but they've also got this messy relationship to deal with, plus they're not alone out there.
It builds up tension really slowly, with paranoia creeping in until you're as wound up as the characters. More psychological than Raimi usually does, but he'll still throw in those jump scares that get you every time.
Return to Silent Hill
Silent Hill fans have been waiting ages for this reboot. A man gets drawn back to the town by some mysterious letter and finds it's even more twisted than before. The visuals look properly haunting, all those fog-covered streets and creatures that look like they've crawled out of nightmares.
It's all about atmosphere, that suffocating feeling the original did so well. If they get it right, this could be one of the most unsettling films of the year.
Monster Mayhem: Kraken, Cold Storage and Predator: Badlands
