Strange and scary things begin to happen in their house, making them suspect something more sinister is at play. They soon discover his spirit is trapped in a creepy shadow world called The Further. To save him, the parents and the psychic must venture into this dark and dangerous world, facing their deepest fears and confronting evil entities.

Paranormal Activity
Paranormal Activity is a horror movie series filmed in a "found footage" style, like watching home videos. A young couple sets up cameras in their house because strange things keep going on at night – doors slamming, objects moving on their own, and even scratches appearing on their skin. The more they investigate, the scarier things get, and they soon realize they might be sharing their home with something evil. If you get easily scared at home, especially at night, this movie series isn't for you.
The Conjuring
The Conjuring is a horror movie series based on the supposed real-life cases of Ed and Lorraine Warren, a married couple who investigate paranormal happenings. The movies aren't directly connected story-wise, but each one follows the Warrens as they tackle a new terrifying case. If you like haunted houses, demonic possessions type of thing, this is a great choice. Since The Conjuring has become so popular over the years, it's widely available on different streaming platforms like Netflix and Sling TV.
Final Destination
Final Destination is a horror movie series that plays on our fear of cheating death. The story typically starts with someone having a terrifying premonition of a disaster, like a plane crash or a roller coaster malfunction. They manage to narrowly escape the disaster along with a few others who believe their vision. But Death isn't happy being cheated, and it sets out to take those who were supposed to die in the original accident, one by one, in increasingly elaborate and gruesome ways.
Scream
Scream is a classic slasher horror series that throws a twist on the genre with its self-aware humor and meta-commentary on horror movies themselves. The story circles around the town of Woodsboro, which is plagued by a series of brutal murders committed by a killer hiding behind the iconic Ghostface mask. Each movie features a new cast of characters, often teenagers, who are targeted by the killer who loves to taunt them with horror movie trivia before striking.
